SNBC
partners with four schools, Francis Scott Key Elementary School,
Sunset Elementary School, Ulloa Elementary School and A.P.
Giannini Middle School (SNBC’s host Beacon School) to
provide After-School Learning Programs (ASLP) to children
and youth the following learning opportunities:
- Homework tutorial
- Academic support
- Enrichment activities, e.g.
arts and sports
- Murals
- DJ club
- Business club
- Newsletter creation
- Games
- Urban dance
- Computer classes
Community Media Production
SNBC partners with the Salesforce.com/foundation and
the Community Technology Center Network to provide the community
with two state of the art computer labs. Inside, we offer
computer classes for youth and adults and free lab time five
days a week.
We also offer Digital Video Production Workshops led by Artist-in-Residence
and funded by the California Arts Council
Bamboozled.org
Bamboozled.org,
a youth written and produced website, has been nominated for
the Best Youth Web Site for the 7th Annual Webby Awards. Their
mission: FIND THE TRUTH IN YOUTH!
